Who is NOT Eligible?
Government Employees
Anyone engaged in permanent government employment or receiving a regular salary/pension from the Union or West Bengal government, any statutory body, government undertaking, panchayat, municipal body, or local authority.
Income Tax Payers
Individuals who are income tax payers are not eligible for the scheme.
Teachers & Non-Teaching Staff
Employees in teaching or non-teaching roles in any government-aided educational institution in West Bengal are excluded.
Below 25 or Above 60
Women below 25 years of age or above 60 years of age are not eligible.
Non-Residents of West Bengal
Women who are not permanent residents of West Bengal cannot apply.
Who May Lose Benefits During Verification?
During the migration from Lakshmir Bhandar to Annapurna Yojana, approximately 30 lakh existing beneficiary records have been identified for removal. You may lose eligibility if:
- ✗ Identified as deceased during SIR-2026 verification
- ✗ Shifted out of the state or to a different constituency
- ✗ Deleted in the second list after publication of the draft list
- ✗ Removed after adjudication
- ✗ Absentee electors or ASSD cases detected during voter slip distribution
- ✗ Duplicate beneficiary entries in the database
Note: Beneficiaries who have filed appeals before the SIR Tribunal or submitted applications under the Citizenship (Amendment) Act will continue to receive financial assistance until their applications are disposed of.
